You fell asleep while talking,

So your lying in bed,

The phone pressed to your face,

I can hear your steady,

Even breaths,

And though I cannot see,

The peace on your face,

I know you slumber with a smile on your lips,

I wonder if I should wake you,

Or hang up the phone,

But selfishly I do not wish for either,

Because knowing I could hear your voice,

Any moment,

Is one of life's greatest treasures.
